Weather in Ireland Five days full of Snow Confirmed by Met Eireann
Irish temperatures are forecast to drop to -4 during the working week as snow, sleet, and extremely cold weather take hold
Met Eireann confirms five days of snow, as well as pinpointing the exact areas that will be affected.
In the coming week, an arctic airmass is expected to move across Ireland and temperatures will drop “well below seasonal Averages“.
It is predicted that a low-pressure system will track eastwards across Ireland on Monday, bringing heavy rain.
Next week, very cold and wintry weather will follow after that clears to the east on Monday night.
Monday, 18 November
Ireland experienced heavy rains on Monday due to a low-pressure area. Snow is possible in northern hills, mainly in the north, as well as sleet in the north. Temperatures peak between 4 and 12°C (north to south) and patches of coastal areas see strong gusts of cyclonic wind.
Rain, sleet, and snow will clear eastward on Monday night with clear spells following and a cold airmass moving down over Ireland. As temperatures fall back to between -3 and +2 degrees on Monday night, frost and ice will form as winds become mainly northerly and weaken to light. North and west will see some wintry showers.

Tuesday, 19 November to Friday, 22 November
It will be sunny and wintry for the rest of this week, mixed with snow, hail, and sleet. Showers are mostly expected in the north and parts of the west and southwest, but some will also spread inland and east. There will likely be some lying snow, especially over the hills.
Nighttime frost and ice will persist, posing some hazardous travel conditions. Temperatures will range from around 2 to 6 degrees during the day, whilst at night they may fall to -4 to zero degrees, possibly even lower. At times, wind chill will be added, mainly in coastal parts of the north and west due to moderate or fresh winds.
