Snowboarder Apex Freestyle Club is Expanding its Freestyle programs to assist Beginning Freestylers
Snow is filling the mountainside ahead of next month’s opening day, so the Apex Freestyle Snowboard Club has announced a new program.
Josh Shulman, director of Freeriders and Performance, said there will also be a fundamentals program included in those programs.
Several years ago, Apex Freestyle Snowboard developed young shredders and won several medals at BCSnowboard events all over the province, including boardercross and slopestyle events at Big White and Silverstar,” he said in a press release.
Developing the next generation of riders through our program is now possible!”

In 2023-24, 22 kids joined the club, thanks partly to Christmas camps, Spring Break camps, and a fun 11-week program focusing on rider development.
The groomers, flow through the trees, steeps, parks, jumps, slides, rails, and powder will be available on the grounds for those who wish to learn.
You will learn how to stand strong and carve a board and proper park etiquette so you can hit your first jumps, boxes, and rails safely. After learning some tricks we will switch to intermediate lessons.
Club members are encouraged to ride down all of Apex’s terrain safely and confidently.

Every competitor from their team earned a podium finish last season.
If you are not interested in competing, that’s fine! Our club welcomes all riders interested in developing new skills and making new friends.
The club hopes that they will achieve the success of their Apex Freestyle Ski Club partners.
