Saskatchewan has been subjected to weather warnings

Environment Canada used to issue weather watches and warnings mostly on the east side of Saskatchewan, but these have been expanded to cover more of the province. Saskatoon, Prince Albert, and Regina have been added.

Snowfall of ten to fifteen centimeters is expected to begin tonight (Mon) and end Tuesday afternoon. However, light to moderate snow will continue through Tuesday night. Winter storm warnings are in effect for Melfort, Tisdale, and Nipawin.

Saskatchewan and Manitoba are expected to receive 25-50 centimeters of snow from Monday evening into Wednesday and Thursday, with the snowfall falling from south to north. Occasionally, heavy snowfall will exceed 2-10 centimeters per hour.

Towards the southeast, including Yorkton, Melville, and the border with the U.S., there is a snowfall warning with up to 15 centimeters expected.

Several light snowstorms are possible before noon Tuesday, but a heavy snowstorm arriving from Manitoba will move in soon after. Wednesday and Tuesday will be windy.

Cumberland House, Pelican Narrows, and Sandy Bay will experience 20-40 cm of snowfall tomorrow, with gusty winds reducing visibility, and travel is not recommended.
