Ontario is Expecting Some Major Snowfalls this Week
Ontario is experiencing wintry weather for the first time this year.
Several parts of the province are expected to experience snow and freezing rain this week due to a late fall storm.
According to Environment Canada’s predictions, the storm is expected to hit the region on Monday (Nov. 25) and continue on Tuesday.
Projection of the weather varies among the European, Canadian, and American systems.
In the top-left image, the European model (top-left image) forecasts significant snow and freezing rain for the Greater Toronto Area, including Toronto, Brampton, Mississauga, Halton and Durham.

It is predicted that areas such as Ottawa, Kingston, and Barrie will accumulate more snow than indicated by the Canadian model (bottom-left image).
According to the American model (top-right photo), snowfall in western regions is less. However, freezing rain is expected in London, Kitchener, and Windsor, especially.
In the bottom-right image, the North American model offers a similar forecast to the American one. There is a likelihood of freezing rain in certain areas of Ontario, particularly in the eastern part of the province.
Approximately 5 to 10 centimeters of snow could accumulate. Additionally, icy roads and poor visibility are possible as stormy conditions move into Wednesday.
Until Environment Canada can provide more specific information about the storm’s impact, it is too early to assess the severity of the storm’s impact. Nevertheless, the weather agency will closely monitor the situation.
