Some roads may become slick on Wednesday night, according to forecasters at the National Weather Service in Indianapolis.
The hazardous weather outlook predicts that wind chills could reach single digits Friday night and into the weekend, causing Hoosiers to freeze.
Besides Indianapolis, wet and snowy weather is anticipated further north, according to NWS meteorologist Andrew White. The Midwest and Great Lakes regions could see 2-3 inches of snow per hour
In areas along the Great Lakes and Midwest, snow piles up to multiple feet. There are areas of Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and western New York where snowfall rates can reach 2 to 3 inches per hour, causing near zero visibility.

Central Indiana could see less than half an inch of new snow accumulation Wednesday night into Thursday morning, according to meteorologists. White warned motorists north of Indianapolis to be aware of potential snowier and icier road conditions this weekend.
Most of this won’t end up sticking to the ground in Indianapolis, White said. “However, it will snow as you get closer to Michigan for those traveling further north.”

Winter Driving Tips During Thanksgiving
Avoid driving on icy, snowy roads. Driving on snow or ice is dangerous and deadly, even for experienced drivers. Over 2,000 road deaths result from vehicle crashes on snow-covered, ice-covered, and water-covered roads every year, according to Kelley Blue Book.
Driving in icy weather calls for slowing down. As much as possible, steer, accelerate, and brake smoothly. Stopping or accelerating suddenly could put you in danger.
