Ice Drizzle is Predicted for Ottawa in the Weather Forecast
There is a possibility of icy conditions developing between Monday evening and Tuesday morning, according to Ottawa Environment Canada.
This week is expected to have a mix of snow, freezing rain, and freezing drizzle which will bring snowfall and freezing winds to the region.
In a special weather statement issued by Environment Canada, the agency warns that ice is going to be building up between Monday evening and Tuesday morning.
A low pressure system is approaching southern Ontario, which will bring a mixture of rainfall to the area, according to a statement released by Environment Canada on Tuesday.
Among the areas affected are the national capital region as well as a large area of eastern Ontario.

Throughout the day on Dec. 9 we can expect to see up to five centimeters of snow accumulation before the night.
Snow is expected to become mixed up with freezing rain, which will then thin out overnight to be scattered flurries or freezing drizzle before it begins to snow again in the morning.
It is expected that temperatures will remain near the freezing level through the overnight hours into Tuesday morning, with a slight chance of freezing drizzle developing through the early morning hours.
Depending on how fast the freezing rain event approaches, freezing rain warnings or freezing drizzle advisories may be required,” a statement states in the statement.
The surfaces that might become icy and slippery during the winter include highways, roads, sidewalks and parking lots.
There is a possibility that Tuesday morning’s commute could be affected.”
