Here are 10 Things you Need to know if you want to play golf this winter
Winter is here, like it or not. Winter has already begun, and my first round of golf has been canceled.
Prepare for bleak weeks and months ahead. This winter, you’ll need these 10 things to play golf.
Insulation Against Water
Play winter golf with a decent set of waterproofs – and don’t skimp on the price. As they say, you get what you pay for.
When you come off the final green, you realize you’re soaked. Don’t forget to dry your waterproofs thoroughly once you get home.

Shoe Waterproof
Your slipper-like shoes may be incredibly comfortable, but I bet they are not waterproof. This is important to me. They aren’t waterproof, as I found out in August. For winter, wear sturdy, waterproof shoes.
Bag for Shoes
You will inevitably come off the course caked in mud with your shoes. Your car boot is not the best place for them. Take care of your shoes. Don’t forget your car.
Liners for Boots
Mud and filth are not just attracted to your shoes. When you come off the 18th green, no matter how hard you try, it will be impossible to clean your trolley’s wheels.
Take a boot liner or a bed sheet and cover your car’s boot completely. It will save you the bother of constantly digging out the car hoover to clear off the rubbish that has fallen off your trolley’s wheels.

Wheels for winter trolleys and winter bags
Some courses are not well drained, so your trolley must be fitted with winter wheels to prevent tracks from being left on wet fairways.
Buying a pencil bag is a good idea, just in case trolleys are banned completely. Carrying a small, lightweight bag is better than carrying your tournament bag.
Gloves as Spares
Golf gloves will get wet, and a wet glove is as useless as an 80-year-old seated in the White House. Therefore, take at least one spare pair of gloves so that you can change them during the game.
Shirts with long Sleeves
Although they may seem silly, winter golf is all about staying warm and comfortable. Long johns are my favorite underwear and I own two pairs.
Despite the cold around me, I am as comfy as a hotdog. That’s what I’m saying, regardless of who knows!

Embrace your Umbrella
Although this may seem pretty obvious, I’m continually surprised by the number of club golfers who purchase umbrellas for a bargain price. As golfers, we live in a country where rain and wind combine throughout the winter.
There is a strong wind blowing. Buy a decent umbrella. You will enjoy the feeling of smugness when your playing partner dumps his brolly in the garbage halfway around.
Socks & Gloves for Cold Weather
Winter golf is more enjoyable when your extremities are warm. It is impossible to survive if your hands and feet are cold.
Thermal socks and gloves are perceived as needing six inches of thickness. The world has changed. The thickness of decent thermal gloves and socks has dropped. Give yourself a treat.
Wearing a Different Outfit
Whenever there is any possibility that it might rain on the course, make sure you have an extra set of clothing. Whatever the waterproofs’ efficiency, the chances are you’ll sweat regardless.
That’s unpleasant for anyone, especially those you’ll drink with afterward. Grab a towel and some shower gel while you’re at it! This is what you need to know. You can guarantee dry, warm golf during the months ahead by following these simple tips.
