Thousands of TikTok users have viewed Chonk’s heartwarming video, in which he relishes the snow.
His positive attitude is evident in the video shared to @chonktheberner, as he walks joyfully down a snowy path and leaps to catch snowflakes.
During the November 28 video, a caption reads, “He eagerly awaits the winter’s arrival all year,” highlighting the Chicago-based dog’s joy at seeing snow for the first time this year.
AKC notes that Bernese mountain dogs adapt well to cold-weather activities, so a snowy stroll is a perfect match.
Originally bred in Switzerland for farm work, the Berner dogs excelled in tasks such as herding, drafting, and guarding. In addition to their gentle nature, they make wonderful family companions today.
Winter is a wonderful time, not just for humans, but also for our furry friends, as Chonk’s snowy adventures remind us.
