Winter storm warnings have been issued in Alaska, Maine, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, while weather advisories have been issued in Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin.

Michigan is affected by lake-effect snow on a widespread basis. The upper peninsula could see 6-20 inches of snow through Saturday morning, with winds up to 35 mph.

In the southern Upper Peninsula, snow accumulations may reach 30 inches by Monday. Winter storm warnings cover Northern Michigan, including Antrim and Otsego counties.

Areas like Osceola and Lake counties could receive up to three inches. Heavy storms could cause roads to become impassable.

Winter storm warnings are still in effect for Hyder and central Panhandle in Alaska. It is forecast to snow heavily on Friday morning, with an additional 4 to 6 inches expected.

10 to 13 inches of snow is expected to accumulate along Icy Strait, possibly converting to rain by Monday.
